Robin Hood

I had an interesting dream this morning. I wrote it down to save because I thought the female character might work in a story someday. As I was describing her, I realized she might work as a modern day Robin Hood. (A grifter with a conscience. She swindles from the greedy to give back to those they stole from.) So I wondered what to call her. And from there I wondered how Robin Hood might have gotten his name.

Hood isn't so hard to figure. He's a hood, thug, fence, etc. And then it hit me: Robin = Robbin' ... He's a robbing hood. There were a lot of different "hoods" back then. Priesthood, knighthood, etc. So maybe there once was a word such as Robbinhood. *shrugs* emoticon

Yeah. He's from the RobbinHood.

He's in the RobbinHood.

That man's dabbling in the RobbinHood.

Hood = Bonnet = Bonnie

Robin = Bird = Byrd

Bonnie Byrd emoticon

And then I came up with:

Kat Burger

Which would work if she were a cat burglar.

I really liked her. But not sure what to do with her at the moment. Maybe once I figure out her name, she'll let me know more of her story. Until then, into the "Ideas Folder" she goes.
